Welcome to the Ashfield Floral Art web site. The following information
is just a guide to tell you something about our club and how you may become
involved.
|
|

|
Ashfield Floral Art was formed in 1973 by our President, Mrs. Janet
Pearson and it grew very quickly in popularity - some of the founder
members still attend regularly and we have many long term members. Ashfield
Floral Art club is affliliated to NAFAS, which is a registered charity,
however, we do our own fund raising and often take
part in good causes.
|
We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7.15 p.m. at the Library Theatre, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire - when we have a demonstration by an
Area or occasionally a National demonstrator. A raffle is held at the end
of the evening, with a chance to take home one of the lovely flower
arrangements.

You do not need to be a flower arranger to join our club, simply have
an interest in flowers or a desire to meet like minded people.
We have a regular
"practice night" when members are shown how to make a simple
flower arrangement. There is also a chance to try out other crafts
including:-
·
Plant pot painting
·
Decorated candles
·
Water colour painting
·
Glass painting
These social evening are very popular and cost very little.
For further
details, or to simply give us your opinion and comments, please visit our Guest Book.

|

|
If
you would like to attend this demonstration, simply come along to the
Library Theatre, Sutton-in-Ashfield at 7pm.
The evening will give you a chance to meet the regulars and find out more
about the other activities that Ashfield Floral Art have to offer.
Visitors will be charged
£2.50. However, becoming a member (annual fee of £14.00) entitles you to
free admission at all other events.
